Now, if you take a look, on the page of all non-subscribers....oh excuse me.."Non-Premium Members"....where it used to say "Not Subscribed" nows says "Needs Premium Membership." Apparently the word "subscriber" wasn't an elite enough term for dA, now all those who pay them are all "Premium"....-_-; .....I liked the term "Subscriber" and "Non-Subscriber" better. -_-;;

Now, I realize this place needs money to run. I know that, and I fully support that.

....but being so tactless as to put THAT on my page? I don't WANT one! I need a "Premium Membership" like I need a milkshake with my lunch. They're nice but not necessary. I love this website, I do, but more and more it feels like they're trying to push subscriptions on me in every which way, and now they insist I NEED one?!

I mean, I understand that is there to let people know that I am unsubscribed, and can donate me a subscription, but come on does the "~" next to my name not already say that? It makes all non-subscribers seem like they're begging. =/

I'm sick of all the sub advertisements....all the places that give you "options" but lock you out because you didn't pay. Like, for example...as I'm writing this journal, I can look below where all my options are. My mood, and all the listening to, eating, drinking etc stuff....and whether or not I want that to be shown at the top or the bottom of my entry.

Below that, is the button for Journal skins. I can click the button and a window pops up, and it allows me to see my installed skins. Just as if i were a subscriber, right? It allows you to install skins, and it even allows me to select an installed skin! And guess what? It'll even show up in the PREVIEW just how PRETTY your journal COULD be~! But oh no, wait, whats that big red bar?

I'm not allowed to use them! I love how they underline "get premium membership." I mean, this is just one of various example of shit like this. Basically, all I'm seeing is that they want to make ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN I know exaaaaactly what I'm missing out on, and how many things I cannot do because I don't wanna shell out cash for bells and whistles.

It's tactless dA, really fucking tactless. Not to mention annoying....

It seems like this website is getting more about money then art. Whats next? getting rid of unsubscribed users entirely? Make dA a paysite? It kinda feels like thats the direction this place is going....

Pack it up and move it to Manga Bullet people, dA is going down the drain.

Actually, I wish I COULD switch over to Manga Bullet, but my browser is incompatible with it and won't let me upload anything unless I use Firefox....D<
